Exploring the Sciences with Student Created Textbooks
At this age, students are ready to explore the different sciences in greater depth. We encourage students to create their own textbook in each of the science topics. As students prepare materials to teach others about science, their knowledge deepens. You will see some of our favorite resources below to assist students in exploring and creating.
Textbook Binder: 1-inch binder for each science topic:
Plastic page protectors if desired
Color pencils for diagrams
Please note: Even though students will be working on one science topic at a time, it is wise to have a binder prepared for each category
We provide a free pdf document that lists topics, vocabulary words, and scientists to include in each of the science notebooks.
Kimber Academy also has science guidebooks available for purchase. These books offer vocabulary words, concepts, diagrams, and scriptural principles for students to include in their creative works. Kimber curriculum encourages students to explore Why and How God created . . . animals, plants, people, things.
